The virtual reality AED trainer is an application made for a platform called VR Brandveiligheid. This is a platform made by The Virtual Dutch Men, they wanted to expand the platform to an all-round safety trainer and not just a trainer for fire safety.
In this VR application, the player has to operate an AED on a dummy, this is a virtual representation of a real-life AED training. A real-life training should never be replaced, however, a virtual training can help to keep the training routine going.
This project was made in the span of twenty weeks, of which at least ten were spend on research, this was primarily a research project. The AED trainer was made with an interdisciplinary team, consisting out of eight members: two nursing student, two forensic science student, and four creative media and game design student (two artist and two engineers).
