About Me

My name is Helena, I am a game/interactive media researcher, 3D and VFX artist interested in environment, prop, VFX, and technical art. I live in The Hague, The Netherlands. I obtained a Master of Science at Breda University of applied sciences where I graduated from the Master’s Game Technology. I am currently a 3D Game Artist at Liquid Ice Studios.

During an internship at Wonderment by Design I got the opportunity to work on projects for Mentos and Tommy Hilfiger. I was a project leader for an AED safety trainer, which was made for The Virtual Dutch Men. For Stark Learning I got to work on a procedurally generated scaffolding system. For my Masters degree I got to work on enhancing the player experience by using real-time biometric measurements to adapt the mood of a VR game. I created a corn maze where the mood changed based on the mental arousal level of the player. And currently, I am working on VFX, props, and characters for Liquid Ice Studios. Since the project the Liquid Ice Studios is working on is unannounced I cannot show it on my website, however, feel free to contact me if you want to see more.

Bringing worlds and characters to life with environments and props is amazing and something I like to work on.
